The Four Promises are a set of ideas shared by the UT Group’s entire workforce.
They work as standards and guidelines for UT Group employees to make judgments.
They are also our commitment to our stakeholders and society.
We conduct our business by always keeping these Four Promises in mind and having a strong sense of mission.
MissionUT Group’s basic set of values

As a company in the dispatching and outsourcing service industry that supports Japan’s manufacturing
The UT Group provides dispatching and outsourcing services focused on the manufacturing industry.
We want to empower Japanese people and society by contributing to the development of Japan’s manufacturing industry, which has had a strong presence in the world. Based on this desire, we have been engaged in manufacturing since our foundation.
Japan’s manufacturing industry needs keep on adding high value and raising efficiency to ensure its survival and sustained growth. We have addressed such needs and have focused on the semiconductor sector, which has high outsourcing needs and requires a high level of expertise.
At present, the UT Group has the No.1 share* in manufacturing outsourcing services to the semiconductor sector.
Going forward, we plan to expand into other high value-added manufacturing areas in addition to semiconductors, by utilizing our accumulated technology and know-how.
*No.1 in manufacturing outsourcing to semiconductor-related industries in the number of outsourced and dispatched workers (based on internal estimates from disclosed data of various companies)
Teamwork as the core
The UT Group’s business model is different from the ordinary dispatching model of placing individual workers in a workplace.
We have stuck to the outsourcing model or team-dispatching model of batch subcontracting the entire operation of a production line. This model enables us to help improve the management efficiency of our clients. It also leads to the cultivation of a sense of unity or teamwork among our employees, who then work on voluntary Kaizen activities.
The UT Group has established a career development system to enable its employees to obtain expertise and skills. They obtain advanced technical skills as well as management skills in areas such as delivery, quality, safety and health, which are indispensable for receiving subcontracting orders as a group.
The development of employees with skills and management has a positive influence on on-the-job training (OJT) and results in maximum impacts on their team and their client’s business in addition to themselves.
The UT Group is committed to supporting Japan’s manufacturing industry with technology and teamwork.
VisionUT Group’s medium- to long-term specific targets

No.1 in semiconductor outsourcing services
The UT Group’s history is a history that challenges common sense and the status quo.
We have endeavored to create an “environment where employees could work free from anxiety” and an “environment where our employees could grow.” Subsequently, we also become the first in the industry to implement a “job-grade system” and an “employees’ shareholding association.” These reforms have helped the UT Group to realize the industry’s highest rate of employee retention.
We have realized a favorable environment that assists our employees to obtain technical expertise and management skills. This has also contributed to raising our evaluation and has raised our share in the semiconductor outsourcing market, which requires advanced expertise. We have thus established our position as the No.1 semiconductor outsourcing service provider.
Becoming “Japan’s No.1 outsourcing provider” in quality and volume
The UT Group aims next to become “Japan’s No.1 outsourcing provider” in quality and volume.
What we mean by “quality” is to prepare an environment where our workers can work vigorously.
We will continue to offer job security to our employees and improve our system to make them grow and receive a fair evaluation.
What we mean by “volume” is to become No.1 in size in Japan’s manufacturing outsourcing industry.
We will utilize our accumulated know-how in semiconductors and expand our business in growth areas such as the environment and energy.
We may run up against a wall of common sense and the status quo on our road ahead to becoming “Japan’s No.1 outsourcing provider.”
Our efforts to achieve our vision also represent our challenge to change the manufacturing outsourcing industry.
We will continue to challenge common sense in order to achieve our target of becoming “Japan’s No.1 outsourcing provider” in quality and volume.
Basic philosophyUT Group’s basic set of values

“Vigor” as a set of values
The UT Group has placed priority on creating “vigor” since its establishment.
We believe that working vigorously makes people grow and its aggregate leads to the growth of the company.
The growth of the company then raises our corporate value and the outcome is shared with employees, creating a virtuous cycle of “vigor.”
Stable employment makes employees “vigorous”
The foundation of being “vigorous” is a working environment with job security.
“Creating an environment for all employees to work with ease and security.” The regular employment system is the first promise we implemented.
The UT Group’s client base has now expanded nationwide, providing employment opportunities in local communities with security for young employees.
Teamwork and development opportunities make employees “vigorous”
Providing development opportunities through work is essential for employees to work “vigorously.”
Our new hires, even with no experience, get to obtain skills by working with a team leader and senior employees.
Work as a team with the same objective incubates a sense of responsibility, a culture where employees learn from and compete in a friendly way with each other, and a spirit of teamwork.
The UT Group, which cares most about its “employees’ development,” also offers career development opportunities within and outside the Group to its employees.
Sharing successful results makes employees “vigorous”
One of the objectives in the public listing of the UT Group (UT Holdings) was to make employees a top shareholder.
Our employees are the biggest resource in our business and create our corporate value. We therefore wished strongly to create a system in which our employees benefit from successful accomplishments in corporate value. This is why systems such as the “Employees shareholding association” and the “Employees’ Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)” were established to build a scheme to properly allocate outcomes in corporate value.
The UT Group will take on the challenge to realize a “vigorous working environment” by providing “stable and secure employment,” “growth and career development opportunities,” and “improvements in corporate value and earnings allocation.”
